How/Where did it all Begin?
In 2004, I was inspired to set up the business having been given a pair of silk knickers - beautifully made but spectacularly unflattering and uncomfortable. I couldn't believe something so beautiful and intimate could be so un-wearable.
Intrigued and now craving silk and comfort, I researched my native London and New York where I was living at the time as a photographer. The more I looked, the more I realised that there was a gap in the market. I decided to fill the gap and set myself a task: to design ideal silk knickers that were as sexy as they were comfortable yet affordable.
Armed with these, I wanted to see if there were other women who like me, wanted to wear silk next to their skin every day, but didn't think that they should have to choose between comfort and style, quality and price.
My knickers were immediately picked up by individuals and retailers who shared my vision. Since then I have continued to design new collections - including bras, vests and night wear for all women - whatever their size A or FF, extra large or extra small, and also for men.
We sell in over 80 shops worldwide. We have a large celebrity following - and an extremely loyal customer base. We are known for vibrant colours and contemporary designs. We have a diverse range: soft bras and underwired bras, knickers, thongs, shorts, camisoles, shirts, nightwear, mens boxers - and we're always producing new things.
What Fabrics do you like to use and why?
The knickers are finished with a metal tag bearing the message 'Made with Love' and have paper labels, which are torn out. The garments are made from 100% silk or cotton.
S***K is becoming a celebrity favourite with model Liberty Ross naming them as her "favourite" and milliner to the stars Cosmo Jenks declaring them her "Secret Weapon." Other fans include Amy Winehouse, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Imbruglia and Laura Bailey.
Have you had a chance to Travel?
I have travelled a lot (and lived in New York for 4 years), and spent a fair bit of time in Asia but I have never been to Japan, that is next on my list and I can't wait to go.
