Rosanna Ansaloni
Rosanna Ansaloni "The vital ingredient has always been passion". Rosanna confirms her unparalleled style, drawing on new inspirations and converting it into her designs for a special, ever contemporary woman in mind.
Passion, ceativity and a love for lingerie is the identikit of a successful lingerie designer. At Rosanna's Italian office the caption under her black and white photo portrait at the main entrance to the company reads: "I'm here". This convincing visiting card is a clear expression of her personality - strong and determined, yet gentle and fragile at the same time, diametrically opposed qualities that reveal the personality of a fascinating woman. Rosanna Ansaloni, ex-model turned designer in the '80s, focused her creativity on the appealing world of lingerie, turning traditional lace and batiste garments, made exclusively using sumptuous Como silks and haute couture styling, into veritable eveningwear items. Rosanna did not set out to create a clothing line, but a new philosophy in lingerie.
Under the Verde Veronica label, which she created, she extended the concept of comfort and elegance to pyjamas and homewear. In 1983 she created pyjamas inspired by menswear, a "double-breasted" evening ensemble for night-time. The pyjamas were an instant hit across the globe, retailing through the most exclusive boutiques. In the '90s she created Verdissima, the label included beachwear and intimatewear collections for younger women. The vital ingredient has always been passion, her ongoing focus on life and its little everyday emotions. Rosanna creates garments with special women in mind, who live their daily lives intensely in the various cities of the world.
She draws inspiration from trips, love stories and sensual dreams. Rosanna Ansaloni has the lively, attentive eye of a designer who sees intimatewear in a constant state of evolution. Her creations stem from perceiving the desires of the women she envisages and identifies with. The women who wear her garments revel in a refined, versatile look that reflects the cities in which they live or enjoy visiting, a style in which they see themselves and their femininity.
Every designer has a dream: Rosanna's is to "travel" everyday through each of these women.
