Born into a family devoted to fashion, making beautiful clothing is Maurenice’s focus and drive. Under the watchful eye of her mother, Maurenice learned to sew at the age of five and by age seven, Maurenice was making her own clothes and tending daily to her mother’s women’s fashion store. When she moved to New York from the Dominican Republic she instantly fell in love with architecture and the fine arts. Today, she continues to draw inspiration for her designs from these early influences. Bisono commits her passion, expertise and skill in every lingerie collection she designs creating an innovative product that stands apart in the commercial marketplace. Her experience at luxury evening wear and ready-to-wear houses including Carlos Marquez, Christina Perrin, Jill Stuart and Anne Klein in the design and production arenas, contributes to the intricate cuts and patterns in the garments and the lingerie’s beautiful aesthetics. Maurenice currently resides in New York City and with her line Vagin Pouvoir, she is on a mission to empower women around the world.
