I have always loved Lingerie. When I was a teenager I was lucky enough to travel to Italy quite often & I began to realise that British underwear was far behind continental lingerie in both design and quality. My Italian friends had beautiful lingerie compared with my more functional 'underwear'! Although I must say we, in Britain, have caught up enormously over the last decade or so and I've been on a mission to bring together some of the best British lingerie designers as well as those from Europe and the rest of the world. I felt there was a serious gap in the luxury lingerie on-line boutique market- as far as I could see there wasn't one- leading me to develop my idea quite quickly - to get there first! Glamorousamorous' philosophy is to offer the male or female customer access to We wanted to offer our customers a select group of spectacular designers. We did much research to this end, examining what was available in the high street boutiques, and on large lingerie web-sites. We met with designers from around the globe. We went to every lingerie show we could find! I and the team wanted to define a certain style. We also believe in offering an impeccable service, in terms of courtesy, presentation, speed of delivery, and especially in dealing with customers. We believe in the concept of beautiful items equals beautiful packaging. Glam Am goes that bit further to create a really luxurious event. For instance we use French dried lavender to scent our packaging. We present our orders in delicate organza bags, all our lingerie is beautifully wrapped. We try and make the occasion really special, with personal touches. It is essential to go to all the International Shows, and this where we are able to assess the latest trends and meet with the up and coming designers as well as those with huge reputations. We love the whole scene, and have got to know the characters behind the product, - wonderful creative and funny people, and some great personalities. Because our Designers have worldwide reputations we have a dedicated web-page for them- their photos, inspiration etc. We feel we are an intimate site and our clients share our interest. We are different due to the quality of site. In our opinion we offer a high level of customer care. Seriously fast attention to delivery is absolutely crucial to giving a positive customer experience. Glam Am's emphasis on packaging presentation detail is consistent -no matter the size of order. Plus our high level of quality control ensures that the lingerie is as it should be! Because we decided to specialise in such a focused way we have little competition, at present. It was a new idea for lingerie. There are successful web sites which deal in bulk lingerie, offering many brands, but I prefer the boutique approach.
