The bra sizing chart gives you the opportunity to measure your own breasts to identify your size by using a measuring tape. Place the tape around the rib cage (just beneath the breast) and around the back to measure your ‘back or band’ size and then use the tape around the breast and back to give you the ‘cup’ size. Breasts should be enclosed in the cups and a smooth line appears where the fabric at the top of the cup ends and meets the breast. If the breast bulges over the top or sides of the cups the size is incorrect. However, if you are wearing half cup or more erotic bras then the cup will have been designed to add more cleavage or completely reveal the breast and therefore the breast can appear over the top of the cup. It's advisable to start on the loosest fastening. This is easily adjusted later. Remember to adjust the shoulder straps for your personal comfort. The strap around your body should be firm but comfortable. When you stand side-on at a mirror, the strap that runs around your body should be horizontal and should not ride up at the back. |
