Yes Master

Igor has finally arrived at Glamorous Amorous, and introduces us to his world! We asked Igor about his inspirations and what type of woman he has in mind when he designs his collections: "Fashion, fashion, fashion..and Hollywood glamour...seen through the eyes of a man though, even though the end result is uber feminine. I guess Veronica Lake and Greta Garbo would be the ultimate icons, alongside Natalie Wood and Kim Novak. Being Eastern European I cannot ignore my roots and the local heroines of 1950s Yugoslavia, and of course Russia. But the lowest common denominator would be style, luxury and glamour (in the bewitching sense)! This season my inspiration for Indulge was Studio 54 and the whole high octane disco glamour, and sketches drawn listening to Baccara and Odyssey...! Yes Master pays homage to the dark female rulers of the past and Elizabeth 1st in particular...what started as a dark story, ended up symbolising individuality and the history of the Kings Road in the 1970s...(it's MY beloved Chelsea after all)" Igor was born in Macedonia in 1978 -he is a Capricorn! Igor's academic studies include History of Art and a BSc in Pure Chemistry with a particular focus on Quantum Science. Igor continued his studies to include an MSc - DMTA of cotton/nylon blends. At present his PhD is yet to be finished . His professional career started in Lambretta, in buyer/merch roles, followed by a role in Coco de Mer. He was later involved in various city backed businesses - and then came the creation of Yes Master in 2004. Yes Master was dreamt up whilst lying around on a mates floor in Lisson Grove, and what started as a hobby became a mission - to "just do it better". "My secret desire is to fall madly in love and dance a fierce tango with a dashing naval officer with a very severe haircut" - and we say why not!
