Sugarlesque

Ruka Johnson is an independent lingerie and accessories designer based in London. She trained at the London College of Fashion in special effects makeup and wig making before deciding to take a different route. She began creating nipple tassels and burlesque-inspired accessories which she sold at markets and events, later deciding to retrain in the art of making lingerie. In 2007, she set up business at the Chocolate Factory Studios in Wood Green and began producing simple and affordable handmade knickers and accessories. “I love fun and flirty accessories that can still be sensual and alluring. I'm very girly and am obsessed with frills, satins and shiny things - so i enjoy working with a really feminine range of fabrics and trimmings " Every piece is individually handmade, and so bespoke orders and custom creations are always welcomed.
